His work on Cameron Pictures' Little Dog - his first foray into scripted TV - earned Cabot a 2019 Canadian Society of Cinematographers (CSC) Award for best cinematography in a comedy; prior to this, he had

twice been nominated by the CSC for his work on short films, including Steven McCarthy's striking O Negative, selected by Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) as one of Canada's Top Ten Shorts of 2015. Earlier work includes the 2010 Toronto Film Critics Award-winning feature film You Are Here, along with a variety of credits on short films, documentaries and several feature films.
